I am a collector of memories - photo albums, polaroids, photos from my dad‘s flickr, and my camera roll. I want to remember the moments I’ve lived.

I sew to distract and I quilt to create the comfort I constantly crave. Drawn to the fragility of memories, I use my quilted collages as an archive keeping my forgotten memories safe. I consider the past and how it forces us to live, constantly embedded within us. It never leaves, always somewhat visible.

The patterns I sew represent my hyperfixation on the sensation of touch. Drawn to the tug and pull of my sewing machine, using thread to combine but also as a way to draw. The repeating nature of the needle is a complete comparison to the constant obession in my head.

Attempting to preserve everything I’ve ever felt and everthing I’ve ever thought. I’ll never be the same person again, but she’s somewhere inside of me.
